Sorcha Richardson is a Brooklyn based Irish singer, songwriter and musician. In June 2012 she released her bedroom-recorded debut EP, Sleep Will Set Me Free, organically gaining over 200,000 soundcloud plays.
Her follow up EP Last Train, released in 2013 on French Label Crosswalk Records lead to performances at major Irish Music Festivals, headline shows in Ireland and across the US as well as appearances at CMJ and Northside Festival in New York.
Richardson's close relationships in Brooklyn's electronic scene have swayed the production in her art towards a more electronic domain but it's an understated enchantment and sensibility for sharp lyricism that sets her apart.
Her new single Petrol Station was released on May 26th 2015 to widespread praise. It was featured as track of the week in The Irish Times and on BBC Ulster's Across the Line, charted in the top 5 on Hype Machine and has received airplay by Phil Taggart on BBC Radio 1.
